Uniform

At Morley Place Academy, we believe the school uniform is essential. It promotes unity and equality, fostering a sense of belonging among all pupils. The uniform instils pride in our academy and prepares students for a professional environment. By removing fashion pressures, it allows students to focus on learning. It also enhances security by ensuring our students are easily identifiable. We expect all students to wear their uniform correctly and with pride.

All children are expected to wear academy uniform at all times. Uniform can be purchased online from www.sptuniforms.co.uk.

We will also have a Uniform Swap Shop which is located in our reception area where you are able to swap a piece of uniform, which is still in a wearable condition, for a new size or item.

The uniform for children in Year 3 to Year 5 consists of: Royal blue V-neck jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt (with or without logo), grey or black trousers/skirt, white polo shirt, shirt or blouse. In warmer weather, children can also wear a blue gingham checked summer dress or grey/black shorts.

The uniform for children in Year 6 consists of: Royal blue V-neck jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt (with or without logo), tie (provided by the academy), white shirt or blouse, grey or black trousers/skirt. In warmer weather, children in Year 6 can also wear a blue gingham checked summer dress (without tie) or grey/black shorts.

Please ensure you label all school uniform and equipment, including coats, with your child’s name and class. The academy accepts no responsibility for lost items of clothing.

PE Kit

All children from Year 3 to 6 will be expected to wear a pair of black shorts and plain white T shirt for PE lessons. P.E kit should remain in school Monday to Friday please, as on occasion we may have extra PE sessions and wouldn’t want your child to miss out. Indoor PE is done in bare feet or school plimsolls.

For outdoor PE, children may wear black jogging bottoms and a long sleeved t-shirt or their school sweatshirt/cardigan.

Children must bring trainers to participate in outdoor PE – these are not provided by the academy and if children do not bring the correct footwear it may not be possible for them to participate.

Forest School

Morley Place Academy is proud to work with Elite Kids Forest School. Forest School Leader, Mark, is on site every Tuesday and every child across the school year will take part in lessons in a wonderful Forest School area. Children are required to bring clothing which is shared from the class teacher on Dojo. These sessions take place in all weathers so the kit provided will need to reflect the season and weather.
